What Is Mangal Dosha?

Mangal Dosha, also called Manglik dosha or Kuja dosha, forms when Mars occupies the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of the kundli. Mars is the graha of energy and assertion, and in these houses tradition says its heat can touch the house of marriage, which is why families check Manglik status before fixing a match.
